Leathersmith of London has a 100-year tradition of fine leather bookbinding. Their diaries, notebooks and journals are created by hand at our specialist book bindery in South East England. At every stage of production, they focus on quality.
They choose the best leather, paper and materials, using traditional bookbinding techniques and craftsmanship and adding luxury finishing touches, including hot foil blocking, gilt page edges and ribbon markers.
The 2022 collection of diaries features a bright colour selection of bold apple, capri blue, and sunrise orange, together with our traditional shades of black, red, midnight and damson. They are finished in Leathersmith of London's traditional calf leather with a Rutland grain, and titles blocked in a luxurious gold foil.
New to the range last year was the St. Paul’s collection. Uniquely crafted with a high precision to detail, inspiration was taken from classic bookbinding skills, and the style from early hymn books and bibles. Lovingly recreated today using the same craftsmanship as in days gone by, it is bound in soft goat skin leather covers with timeless art gilt page edges, printed on lightweight ivory paper with cool grey printed rules, and finished with vivid marbled endpapers. This range comes in a variety of different sized journals and a handy pocket sized diary.
Also introduced was the fantastic Mayfair range which offers a colourful choice of A5 Rutland grained refillable leather covers, available with a choice of either a diary or notebook refill.
